Are You In The Market?

All my watches have stopped, need new batteries, show signs of wear after 2yrs. So I decided on something better. After a lot of research selected a Citizen, .".Echo Drive" watch. It has no batteries but a capacitor instead.  A Capacitor can hold a certain amount of electrical power  It is charged by light, any light.  It is stainless steel and has a date feature. Big watch very  easy to read and you can see it in the dark. Water resistant.  It is heavy. They have smaller women's models. It spent a long time in Ca.Customs. Bought it from WorldofWatches in N.J. marked down from $195.00 to $103.98. Could not buy this model in Canada. Very little selection. and the prices were over $300.00. I hope this beats buying a new watch every couple of years for $25.00-$30.00.

USA Evaluation Ref. Canadian Fighter Purchase

Image
“Ultimately when we select, when we are into the detailed design, at  some point, yes, the U.S. assistant  deputy minister of materiel ,  told The Canadian Press. “But the Americans won’t be sitting with us with the evaluation and  doing that type of work. It will be us.” Some industry sources are nonetheless worried the U.S. could use  the certification requirement to block Canada from choosing a non- American plane, particularly given the Trump administration’s  approach to trade. The federal government this week laid out the latest iteration of its plan for the $19-billion competition to replace Canada’s CF-18s with  88 new fighters, which is expected to officially launch in July. ------------------------------------------------------------ The F-35 is far from the roaring success it was intended to be.  The idea of it replacing almost every fighter in the NATO arsenal seems laughable at this point.  Its operating cost is still a staggering  $ 35,000 per hour, substantiall

My Choice Would Be "Gripen"

According to Saab, Gripen is built for Canadian weather conditions. "Gripen is designed specifically for operations in the Arctic, giving it a leg up on other planes. Sweden has air force bases in what you call the far North. We operate there daily. Gripen has Arctic DNA built into it,” Per Alriksson says.   The Gripen's small size keeps it from carrying heavier payloads (it carries as much as the current CF-18), but otherwise, its performance is very similar, if not superior, to the others. Despite its greater payload capability, the F-35 is limited by its 10 weapon hardpoints, the same as the much smaller Gripen. The Rafale's supercruise performance seems...  Optimistic. The Super Hornet really doesn't improve much on the classic CF-18 Hornet as far as performance goes.  It does hold more payload and has a lot more advanced gear though. The F-35 does not have a 2 seater variant suitable for training or advanced combat roles (weapons officer, UCAV command

Google Not Shutting Down Blog Service

Image
After the termination of Google Plus, Blogger users are also becoming apprehensive about their position on the platform. However, Google sets the record straight by stating that they don’t plan to close their free blogging service anytime soon.  A few days ago, Matt Navarra, a digital media consultant observed that the Blogger’s Twitter account became private suddenly. From his account, he tweeted his concern, which as expected – outraged the Blogger.com community who has been using the content management system (CMS) for many years.  To separate reality from rumors, DigitalInformationWorld got in touch with Google and inquired about the future of the service. In response, Soraya Lambrechts, a spokesperson from Blogger clearly replied that the company has no plans to sunset its blogging platform.  The spokesperson also clarified regarding the private Twitter account by commenting, “The account is temporarily locked, but the team will be back soon.” Although Googl
