Re-learning and Re-install

Well this was a week of re-learning.
Jean's desktop would not accept Her password.

That's a no-no when dealing with Win8. No way
to get into Win8 and do a restore. Option #1 and
the only option is to do a new install.

That done. Now I find out that the wirless adapter is fritzed will not connect her computer to the internet. Off to Staples for a new adapter. 

Adapter installed it wanted our password to connect
to the Net. We could not find it as it's been year's
since we used it. What to do. Well it turns out you
have to re-install a new password that means a router 
reset which wipes out all info and back to factory 
reset. It's been years as I previously mentioned to 
do a new install so we had to trust the Dlink guy to 
help us out. He was quite good even though he was from a foreign country. Let's leave it at that.

Anyhow Her computer is on the Net as well as the Samsung Tablet and now we can see the non commercial ROKU/Netflix shows we always watch
instead of the usual crappy TV shows from the Networks. Lesson write all passwords down and make
sure they are in a safe place,unless you want 2 days
of hassle.

Google's New Gmail

  If you want to get the old view back, here's what to do: 1. Head to Gmail's settings and go to the Inbox tab. 2. Next to "Inbox type," open the drop down and select any option besides "Default." 3. Rearrange your inbox sections as you desire. *************************************** Replies to emails are at the bottom of the Senders Email To add .jpg's in same place click camers,add pic's and then upload them. ***************************************** No matter which option you choose, you'll get the old segmented inbox back. From there you can choose how many/which sections you want. You will lose the sorted tabs, though: for now, it seems you can only use one type of inbox or the other. We don't know if Google is going to eventually roll out the new inbox system as a mandatory upgrade for all users, however for the time being the choice is entirely up to you.
