INTERNET USAGE- HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY?

Have you ever wondered? How does my Internet usage apply to the number of gigabits that I pay for. It's a combination of downloads and uploads.

If you use Roku and Netflix everyday it's going to increases your usage considerably because streaming is calculated in your download time. Not as much as you may think as an example. Three episodes of the very popular British TV series "House Of Cards" will use up 1 GB approximately. Currently for July we have used about 75% of our allotted usage of "35 GB's."

Afraid of going over - no problem they usually advise you by email that you are approaching your limit. Then you can up your usage or pay $1.50 per GB over your set limit. We tend to use "Roku" quite a bit as the same shows are repeated almost indefinitely by Bell Dish Network and then of course there are the endless, mind numbing commercials..
We have cut Bell  back to just the essentials as Roku does not have live
streaming like CNN. Live streaming is available on "Hulu" but it is an expensive proposition in Canada, plus you must procure a devious set-up to run it.
